ABOUT CAMP

St. Martin’s offers a wide variety of camp options each week. Our goal is to provide quality instruction and exciting offerings in a fun and challenging environment. Each week, campers will delve into a subject to learn, create, experiment and explore. We offer camps ranging from computer skills, engineering and science to drama, sports, dance and more. Many camps are led by highly-trained, professional St. Martin’s teachers.

CAMP HOURS

Morning drop off is available at 8:30 a.m. Camp is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• All-Day Camps: 9 a.m. - 2 or 3 p.m.

• After Camp: Hours vary

CARPOOL

Dismissal times for camps differ per week and per camp. Times can be 2 p.m., 3 p.m and possibly 4 p.m. (depending on your registration that week). If pick up is designated at any other time, please park and walk inside to the front desk to check out your child.

WHAT TO WEAR

Campers should wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing. Campers should wear sunblock.

LUNCH & SNACKS

Snacks and lunch are provided as well as an afternoon snack. All camps beginning at 9:00 a.m. include lunch.

FEES/CANCELLATION

Parents must complete a separate online registration for each child. Camp fees vary per week depending on the activity. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. A $50 nonrefundable registration fee is included in each camp fee. Cancellation of camp must be made no later than the

Friday, nine days prior to the Monday of the start of camp, to receive a 100 percent refund (minus the registration fee). Refunds are not available for cancellations made during the week of camp or the week prior to camp. No refund will be granted if you cancel later than nine days prior to the start of camp. No moving registration to another week will be granted within the same nine days prior to the start of the camp window.

REGISTRATION

All registrations must be made online. Registration is available until Thursday night prior to the start of camp.

AFTER CAMP

After Camp is primarily for working parents who need a bit more camp until their day ends. This camp is structured similarly to after-school Explorers and Enrichment classes. The campers will have organized activities and stations such as arts and crafts, building with Legos®, chess, kickball and much more. These camps run each week for campers of all ages.

Cheer Mania teaches students a variety of skills to lead the crowd and support their team. Each cheerleader will learn cheers, proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques with a big focus on fun. There will be a choreographed performance along with help from current cheerleaders from around metro Atlanta. Campers will receive cheer paraphernalia!

This camp is for the true art lover! Each day we will focus on fun art projects, learn about master artists and explore different art mediums and techniques. This camp teaches kindness, friendship and coping skills, sportsmanship, and making positive choices to improve social interactions. Campers will build self-esteem and be empowered to become KINDNESS KID superheroes. Campers will have fun learning through artistic crafts, interactive games, music, outdoor activities and much more. Each camper will receive a KINDNESS KID superhero cape. Latoyia Hawkins, LAPC, NCC, our Early Childhood School Counselor, runs this camp.

Theme Park Creation Station Camp inspires campers to use their own engineering and art skills to become inventors as they get to design their very own mini theme park! They will construct their own mini roller coasters, a merry-go-round and other rides that spin, sway, loop, pull, bounce and twirl! Campers will hone their creativity and critical thinking skills as they name their park and create various rides. We will end the week showcasing our new adventure parks!

Bring LEGO® Bricks to life with coding! The ability to code is a key component of technology education today. Our coding programs will teach students important strategies to enhance their logic and problemsolving skills, as well as help them work toward becoming technological innovators of tomorrow. Our programs offer skill-level progression of coding concepts as students advance through multiple levels from beginner through advanced. Students will build models with LEGO® Mindstorm EV3 elements, then control their models with the codes they write.

Themes such as Super Mario Bros, Roblox, Beyblades, Pokémon, and Minecraft come to life through our robots, mosaics, and 3D art, all made out of LEGO® Bricks. Each day will be a new adventure as the virtual and LEGO® worlds combine!

Dance camp is back again this year - this time with the addition of tumbling! This camp is for you if your child is constantly twirling, leaping, or doing cartwheels. Campers will be divided into groups by age and will enjoy beginner-level classes in ballet, jazz, and tumbling, plus crafts and outdoor games. At the end of camp, a video showing the choreography learned and other highlights will be emailed to the campers’ families. Get ready to tumble and twirl this June!

This baseball camp will be instructed by the SMES middle school baseball coach and former St. Martin’s players. It will be a fun time for boys and girls who love baseball. We provide students with a foundation of the game with the goal of becoming better baseball players. Emphasis will be placed on the fundamentals of baseball: throwing, catching, running, infield and outfield play, and hitting.

The Intensive Reading Camp offers a 2-week program to build foundational reading skills. Emphasis will be placed on phonological and phonemic awareness, and students will build and work to master letter/sound association. Campers will practice age-appropriate decoding skills every day. Our camp will include recess and “brain break” time for students to rest and reset. Camp goals are to build skills and have fun while doing this!

Number of campers - min 5, max 24 Atlanta has become the Hollywood of the south, so learn what it takes to be a part of the ACTION! This camp is devoted to creating and producing short film projects from beginning to end. Through storyboarding, screenwriting, filming, producing, and editing, our young film artists will get hands-on video and filmmaking experience in this inventive, fun-filled camp taught by film/TV/commercial teaching artists, Heidi and Jeff McKerley. A video will be created that will include all camp projects and will be sent within six weeks from the final day of camp.

Join Mrs. Beckwith for her popular camp where children put on lab coats and goggles and explore chemistry through unique hands-on experiments that they take home every day! Jr. Mad Scientists will create unforgettable experiments that fizz, bubble, erupt, ooze, and even glow-in-the-dark, as well as some epic summer STEAM activities. Can you test the density of liquids with water balloons? What is a non-Newtonian fluid? We will find out! What a fantastic and fun learning experience for budding scientists!

LEGO® MASTERS CAMP

Does your child like to build cool stuff out of Legos? Are they intrigued with how things are built? This is a simple “how to build cool stuff out of basic Legos” camp that will educate them on how to independently create structures and 3D objects. There are no kits to assemble, so we will focus on the process and engineering around how to build simple things such as making a circular hull out of square blocks, building a house, a plane, a boat, etc. We will also encourage campers to use their imagination to make “modifications” to their projects which will help with confidence to try new things and solve problems.

The team is ready for action! Come join Marshall, Chase, Skye and the gang as we discover what it means to be a community helper! Campers will enjoy making paw print cupcakes, designing their own badges, and working on their skills in a rescue relay race! Campers will also have the opportunity to challenge themselves in various activities, including Long Jump OVER the Muddy Puddles, Peppa Pig’s Bean Bag Toss, Camping Day, and Daddy Pig’s Relay Race! Edible art will be provided each day!

Children from any age can help in the kitchen and learn culinary skills. Our kids’ Intro to cooking camp is designed to be fun and safe for kids. We will learn basic skills to help mom and dad in the kitchen. During this week, we will make simple and kidfriendly recipes to get kids excited about cooking.

Welcome to the 2nd grade! Come hang out, play, and study up with Mrs. Veal before the school year begins. Students will get a jump start on the year with a review of past phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, and math skills! We will celebrate the end of Summer in style and get ready for the best year yet!

Rising 3rd Grade

Camp Hours - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Number of campers - min 6, max 18

Campers will work on writing, grammar, and math skills through a variety of tactics. Students will work on expressing themselves through writing and presentation skills, learning the parts of speech through games and activities, plus basic adding and subtracting facts. We will also introduce some third-grade learning methods. Students will take a pre-test at the beginning of the week and a post-test at the end to show what they have learned.

Rising 4th Grade

Camp Hours 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Number of campers - min 10, max 24 This camp is a great opportunity to clean up the mental cobwebs that summer brings by working on writing, grammar, and math skills. Campers will be introduced to 4th-grade concepts and expectations while refreshing the skills they learned in 3rd grade. This camp will be a fun and educational way to prepare campers to hit the ground running in 4th grade.
