Reeder Excellence in Teaching Award Dr. Ottley This award recognizes a teacher who is characterized by positive contributions to the school. This teacher is committed to students first of all. He or she supports the school mission statement: “St. Martin’s Episcopal School is committed to providing a quality education of the whole person in a loving, Christian atmosphere, which fosters lifelong learning.” The primary qualities of this valued colleague are a positive attitude, loyalty, dedication, flexibility and good relationships with students, parents, administrators and other teachers.

Student Vestry Acolytes and Chapel Readers Recognition of Students with Merits Students earn merits through extraordinary effort, community service or by providing special help to faculty, staff or other students. Elementary and Middle School students receiving six or more merits are recognized for exemplary effort. Student Council Representatives The SMES Student Council is composed of representatives from grades 5-8. It supports the student body and faculty in coordinating service projects and organizing social events.
