PLACERVILLE SANATARIUM This hospital on Coloma Street in Placerville was prob ably founded between 1905 and 1910 by a Dr. Mountain. He was joined in practice by Dr. William Reckers who, however, left practice during World War I to serve at Letterman General Hospital where he developed skill in general surgery. Following the War, Dr. Reckers returned to Placerville, pur chased the Placerville Sanatorium from Dr. Mountain, and established a practice in general surgery. In 1926, Dr. Angus A. McKinnon joined him in practice, and in 1936 Dr. Charles V. Soracco (from Sutter Creek) joined
