Ourgoalistoprovideanurturing,safe,andactiveenvironmentforyourchild.We offerawidevarietyofactivitiesdesignedtomeetthephysical,emotional,social, andcognitiveneedsofthechildren.Throughourlowchild/teacherratios,caring, experienced,andqualifiedteachersworktogetherinawarm,friendlyenvironment toencourageeachchild’screativity,cooperation,andtofosterafeelingofstrong selfefficacy.

MorningcareisofferedatChildren’sCenterfrom6:45amuntilitistimeforthestaff todropthechildrenoffatschool.Duringthistime,thechildrenengageinfreechoiceactivities,followedbyasupervisedwalktoJerabekElementarySchool.TK andkindergartenstudentswillbewalkedtotheirclassroombyastaffmember. Studentsingradesfirstthroughfifthwillbedroppedoffatschooltowalktotheir ownclassrooms.
Weprovideafter-schoolcareMondaythroughFriday,beginningatdismissaland extendinguntil6:15pmattheChildren’sCenterand6:30pmatAllAroundFun.Our school-ageprogramsaredesignedtoaccommodateminimum-dayschedules, offeringaseamlessexperienceforfamilies.
Eachschoolhasadesignatedmeetingspotwhereourstaffwarmlygreetsand signsineachchild.TransitionalKindergarten(TK)andKindergartenstudentsare pickedupdirectlyfromtheirclassrooms,whilefirstthroughfifthgradersmeetour staffatthedesignatedlocation.Fromthere,childrenaresupervisedastheywalkor shuttletotheirrespectivesites:JerabekstudentsarebroughttotheChildren’s Center,whileMiramarRanchstudentsaretakentotheAviarylocation.
OnThursdaysandotherminimumdays,studentsshouldeatlunchduringtheir school’sallottedlunchtime.Iftheschooldoesn’tprovidealunchtimeorthechild doesn’tfinishtheirlunch,anon-perishablelunchshouldbepackedtoenjoyupon arrivalatthefacility.
Ourafter-schoolprogramgoesbeyondhomeworktime,offeringavarietyof engagingandage-appropriateactivitiessuchasart,andcrafts,cooking, extracurriculars,andquietplay.Duringthewarmermonths,childrenmightenjoy swimtimeonThursdaysandselectotherdays.
We’reheretoensureyourchild’safter-schoolhoursarefun,productive,andfilled withmeaningfulexperiences!
EmergencyDrop-Inisoffered(foranadditionalcost)whenschoolisinsession (providedspaceisavailable)andforcurrentlyenrolledparticipants.Prior arrangementsmustbemadewiththeProgramDirector.

OnMonday,Tuesday,Wednesday,andThursday,30-45minutesisallottedfor homework.Duringhomeworktime,thestaffwillbemorethanhappytoassistyour childwiththeirhomework.Duetothestaff-to-studentratio,oneononetimeis limited.Ifyourchilddoesnothaveanyhomework,wewillhavequietactivities (reading,grade-levelworkbooks,etc.)tokeepthemengaged.Ifchildrenneedmore timetoworkontheirhomework,theyarewelcometodosoduringfreechoice activities,however,weencourageallchildrentoparticipateinthegroupactivities.
Duringtheschoolyear,moviedaysmaybeheldonminimumdaysorFunFridays. AllmoviesshownwillberatedGorPG,ensuringtheyarefamily-friendly.Children canwatchthemovieorparticipateinalternativeactivities,suchascoloringor playingaquietgameinthesameroomasthemovie.Ifalargergroupofchildren prefersnottowatchandstaffingallows,arrangementsmaybemadetosupervise theminanotherarea,suchasadifferentroom,ortheplayground.
Whentheweatherpermits,swimmingmaybeofferedasanactivityduringtheyear. Childrenwhoparticipateinswimmingmustbringaswimsuit,atowel,anda waterproofbagfortheirbelongings.
Ifyourchildrequiresassistancewithsunscreenapplication,ourstaffishappyto help—providedwehaveasunscreenwaiveronfile.Ifyoupreferyourchildtousea specificsunscreen,pleaseincludeitwiththeirswimminggear.
Onminimumdays,school-ageprogramsmayofferfieldtripsatanadditionalcost. Thesetripsarescheduledandannouncedinadvance,withlimitedspotsavailable. Registrationcanbecompletedwiththeprogramdirector,andthecostwillbe addedtoyourSRSRCbill.
ParentsintheChildren’sCenterprogramcansignupviathelobby’ssign-upsheets, whileAAFfamiliescanregisterbycontactingtheirprogramdirector.Ifyourchild doesnotattendthefieldtrip,theywillfollowtheregularscheduleofactivities. FieldtripsmayinvolvewalkingortransportationinSRSRCpassengervans.Notethat recentbehaviorissuesmayresultinlosingfieldtripprivileges
Childrenarewelcometobringcurriculumorcoloringbooksduringtheweekto enhancetheirexperience.However,theprogramcannotbeheldresponsibleforany itemsthatmaybelost,damaged,orstolen.Westronglyrecommendlabelingall belongingsandleavingvaluablesathometoavoidthis.Lostandfoundbinsare locatedthroughouttheproperty,whicharecleanedoutperiodically,andunclaimed itemsmaybedonatedorotherwiseremoved.Prohibiteditems,includingweapons, alcohol,anddrugs,arestrictlyforbiddenandwillleadtoimmediateremoval.
SRSRCSchoolAgeProgramswillhavesunscreenavailableforparticipantstouse. Perlicensingrequirementsamedicationconsentformisrequired.
Ensureyourchildisdressedcomfortablyandbringsorwearstennisshoesdailyto participateinallactivitiessafely.Wealsorecommendpackingawaterbottleto keepyourchildhydratedthroughouttheday.Ifaclothingchangebecomes necessaryandnoextraclothesareavailable,wewillprovidecleanclothstoborrow orwillcontacttheparent/guardiantoprovideachangeofattire.
�� ActivitiesOfferedattheSchool
Duetothepickupschedulesofthe schoolsweserve,ourprogramcannot accommodatechildrenparticipatingin extracurricularactivitiesafterschool (e.g.,choirrehearsals,andenrichment classes).Wecanalsonotmanagelate pickupscausedbyschoolfieldtrips returningaftertheregulardismissal time.
Ifyourchildwillbereleasedafterthe program’spickuptime,drop-off arrangementsatthefacilitymaybe coordinatedwiththeProgramDirector whenfeasible.
�� ActivitiesOfferedatSRSRC(swim lessons,tennislessons,etc.)
Pleaseinformusinadvanceifyourchild isenrolledintennis,swim,orother lessonsofferedbySRSRC.Anadultwith writtenauthorizationmustsignyour childoutoftheprogramforthese activities.
Duetostaffingandratiorequirements, programstaffcannotsignchildrenout orescortthemtootheractivities.Please arrangeforanauthorizedadultto handlethesign-outprocessif unavailabletodosoyourself.Ifyour childwillreturntothelicensedprogram onthesameday,pleasenotifythe ProgramDirectorbeforehand.
Formorningcare,parentsmustsigninandaccompanytheirchildtotheclassroom, lettingthechild’steachersknowthatthechildispresent.Morningcareatthe Children’sCenterbeginsat6:45a.m.Unfortunately,weareunabletoaccommodate earlydrop-offsbefore6:45a.m.
Atthetimeofthechild’spick-up,thechildmustbesignedout,andstaffshouldbe informedthatyouaretheretopickupyourchild.
Forsafetyreasons,weaskthatparentsorauthorizedadultsnotsendtheirchildren backtotheschool-ageprogramthatsamedaywhenpickingthemup.Ifparents mustmakethesearrangements,theymustmakepriorarrangementswiththe ProgramDirector.
Terminationofservicesmayoccurafter5instancesoflatepick-up.
TheAllAroundFunProgramendsat6:30 pm.Pick-upsthatoccurafter6:30pm willbeassesseda$10feeplus$1per minuteperchild.
Ifastudenthasnotbeenpickedupby theprogram'sendtime,wewillreferto his/heremergencyinformationand begincallingthenumberslisted.Ifwe havenotheardfromaparentor emergencycontactby7:30pm,we havenootheralternativeandare obligatedtoturnthechildovertoChild ProtectiveServices.

CommunityCareLicensingrequiresthateverychildattendingtheprogrammustbe signedin&outwithafulllegalsignature,includingtheexacttime,byanauthorized adult.Authorizedindividualsmustbeover18andonthepick-uplistwithavalidI.D. WemusthaveawrittenauthorizationemailorProcareassignedtoeachauthorized individualforanyotheradultnotlistedonyourregistrationforms.Forthisreason, pleasemakesureyourformsandProcareprofilesareuptodate.
SRSRCstaffreservetherighttocheckanyperson’sIDwhocomestopickupachild and/oraskfortheirassignedcode.Pleaseinformanyotherauthorizedperson pickingupyourchild(ren)thattheymustshowIDtoastaffmember.TheAAFsignin/outQRcodeisintheBigRoomwithastaffmembernearby.Thesign-in/outQR codeatChildren’sCenterislocatedinthelobbyandeveryclassroom.
TheAAFprogramwillutilize10passengervanstotransportchildren betweenMiramarRanchElementary Schoolandourfacility.Vansmayalso beutilizedforfieldtrips.Staffmembers whodrivethepassengervanshave validdriver’slicensesandhavehad theirdrivingrecordsreviewed.On certaindays,childrenmaywalkfrom MiramarRanchElementarySchoolto SRSRCunderthesupervisionofastaff member.
Thestaffwillwalkthechildrenfromthe centertoJerabekElementarybefore schoolby8:30amandfromJerabek ElementarytotheChildren’sCenterin theafternoon.
Intheeventofrain,theCentermayuse vanstotransportthechildren(when accessible).Prepareyourchildwithan umbrella,raincoat,boots,etc.,onrainy daysastheCenterdoesnotprovide theseitems.Vansmayalsobeutilized forfieldtrips.Staffmemberswhodrive thepassengervanshavevaliddriver’s licensesandhavehadtheirdriving recordsreviewed.
Corporalorphysicalpunishmentisstrictlyprohibited.Behavioralissuesarefirst addressedthroughcommunicationwiththechild.Ifdisruptivebehaviorpersists,the childmaybetemporarilyremovedfromtheactivityandmonitoredbyastaff memberuntiltheyarereadytoreturn.Insuchcases,anIncident/BehaviorReport maybecompletedandsharedwithparents.
Repeatedmisconductoractionsthatharmorendangerothers,staff,orthechild themselvesmayrequireaconferencebetweentheProgramDirectorandparents. AfterthreeIncident/BehaviorReports,thechildmayfaceanactionplan,suspension, orremovalfromtheprogram,dependingonthefrequencyand/orseverityofthe behavior.Seriousincidentsthatthreatensafetymayresultinimmediatesuspension orremoval,regardlessofpriorreports,attheDirector’sdiscretion.
AchildremovedfromtheprogramwillbeineligibleforSRSRCyouthprograms, includingchildcareandcamps,foraminimumof12monthsfromtheremovaldate. Re-enrollmentrequirespriorapprovalfromthechildcaredirectors.Parentsare responsibleforarrangingalternativecareincasesofearlypick-up,suspension,or programremoval.Finaldisciplinarydecisionsareatthesolediscretionofthe Directortoensurethesafetyandwell-beingofallparticipants.
Behaviorformswillbeusedtohelpdocumentgoodbehaviorandbehaviorof concernaboutwhichwefeeltheparentsshouldbemadeaware.
Programparticipantsmustre-enrollannually.Noticewillbesentoutwhenitistime todoso,alongwitharesponsedeadline.Ifnoresponseisreceivedbythestated deadline,yourchild’sspotintheprogramwillbemadeavailabletoanotherfamily.
SRSRCmembershavepriorityinSRSRCSchoolAgeprograms.Yourchildmustbe listedonyouractivemembershipaccounttobeconsideredasamember. Membershipaccountsmustbeundertheparent/legalguardianwiththechildlisted ontheparent’s/legalguardian’saccount.Thisprioritysystemisalsousedforthe interestlistsystem.Youmayaddyourchildtothewaitinglistatwww.srsrc.com.

Parentsmustcompleteregistrationformsbeforetheirchild’sfirstdayofattendance. Anannual,non-refundableregistrationfeeisdueatthetimeofenrollmenttosecure aspaceforyourchild.Thisfeeandmonthlytuitionwillbebilledtoyourmembership accountorchildcareaccount.Thetuitionrateisfiguredoffamonthlyrate,which mayfluctuateduringthemonthswhenthereisawholeweekormoreoffofschool. Annualregistrationandtuitionfeesareassessedperchild.

Non-membersmustcompleteaRecurringCreditCardPaymentAuthorizationform tofinalizetheirregistration.Themonthlyaccountbalancewillbeautomatically deductedbetweenthe5thand8thofeachmonth.Atthetimeofenrollment,the providedcreditcardinformationwillalsobeusedtocollecttheannual,nonrefundableregistrationfee.Registrationisconsideredincompleteuntilboththe authorizationformandthefeearesubmitted.
Anon-memberaccountwillbesetupexclusivelyforsendingprogram-related invoices.Pleasenote,thisaccountdoesnotgrantmembershipprivilegesatSRSRC.
Ifacheckfortuition,yearlyregistration,fieldtrips,orrelatedprogramfeesis returnedduetoinsufficientfunds,allassociatedbankchargesanda$15.00feewill beaddedtoyouraccount.
Forpast-dueaccounts,includingonlineregistrationsforotherSRSRCprograms,a writtennotificationrequiringpaymentwithin14calendardayswillbesent.Accounts thatremainunpaidmayresultindelayedenrollment,suspension,ordismissalfrom theprogram.Membersusingserviceswhilecarryingdelinquentmembershipfees mayalsofaceprogramtermination.SRSRCreservestherighttodiscontinue servicesatanytimeforunpaidaccounts.Additionally,allaccountinformationmay beusedforcollectionactivitiesasnecessary.
Whenyourchildwillbeabsent,pleasenotifytheProgramDirectorbytelephoneor emailby10:00a.m.thatday.Failuretonotifytheprogrammayresultina$15.00 chargeaddedtoyouraccount.Becauseourprogramsandlicensingrequirements forceustoengagestaffbasedonthenumberofchildrenenrolled,wecannotgive refunds,credits,orexchangesfordaysyourchildisabsent.
Tomeetcapacityandstaffingrequirements,yourscheduleforyourchild(ren)must remainconsistentthroughouttheschoolyear.Ifyouwishtomakeaschedule change,awrittenrequestmustbesubmittedatleast30daysinadvance.Schedule adjustmentswillbeaccommodatedbasedonspaceavailabilityandrequire approvalfromtheProgramDirector.
PleasenotethatScrippsRanchSwim&RacquetClubreservestherighttomodify schedules,programhours,andmonthlytuitionrateswitha30-daynotice.
Ifyouwouldliketodiscontinueenrollmentintheprogram,a30-daywrittennoticeis required.

NotifyprogramstaffthroughProcareonthemorningyourchildwillbeabsent.
Childrenwithanysymptomsofillnessinthepast24hoursmustremainathomefor thesafetyofall.Symptomsofcommunicablediseasemayinclude,butarenot limitedto,rash,redandwateryeyes,fever,cough,shortnessofbreathordifficulty breathing,chills,fatigue,muscleorbodyaches,headache,sorethroat,nausea, vomiting,diarrhea,congestionorrunnynose,and/oranewlossoftasteorsmell. Participantswithsymptomswillnotbepermittedtoremainattheprogram.Ifyour childexhibitssymptomsofCOVID-19,testingisrecommended.ChildrenwithCOVID19maynotreturnuntiltheymeettheCaliforniaDepartmentofPublicHealthcriteria, andSRSRCmayapplystricterrequirements.
Childrensenthomewithafevercanonlyreturnafterbeingfever-freefor24hours withoutfever-reducingmedicationandshowingimprovementorresolutionin symptoms.Atemperaturecheckmaybeconducteduponreturnusingaprogram thermometer.
Childrenonantibioticsmayreturnafter24hoursoftreatmentandadoctor’s clearance,providedtheymeethealthcriteria.
Childrenfeelingunwellwhoareunabletocomfortablyparticipateinactivitiesmay besenthome,evenwithoutafever.SRSRCreservestherighttosendachildhome ifwefeelitisinthebestinterestofthechild.
Parentsmustarrangeforpickupwithin30minutesiftheirchildbecomesillduring theprogram;masksmayberequireduntilpickup.
ImmediatelyinformtheDirectorifyourchildhasbeenexposedto,contracted,or showssymptomsofacontagiousillness(suchasCOVID-19,strepthroat,viral infection,pinworms,lice,measles,mumps,chickenpox,scarletfever,etc.).Certain diseasesmustbereportedtolicensingandpublichealthauthorities.
Dependingonthecircumstance,theDirectormayalertotherparentsthattheirchild mayhavebeenexposedtoacontagiousdisease(yourchild’snamewillnotbe included).
SRSRCreservestherighttocheckparticipants’temperaturesdailypriortoattending programs.Childrenwithatemperatureof100°Forabovewillnotbeadmitted.Any childwhoexhibitssignsorsymptomsofillnesswillnotbeallowedtoattendyouth programs.Ifathermometerisnotavailable,SRSRCmayutilizeasymptomchecklist. Itistheparent’s/guardian’sresponsibilitytoHAVEABACK-UPPLANintheeventthat thechildmustremainhomeorbepickedupfromtheprogramduetoillness.Ifa childmustbepickedupduetoillness,theparentisresponsibleforhavingthechild pickedupwithin30minutes.
AninherentriskofexposuretoCOVID-19existsinanypublicplacewherepeopleare present.COVID-19isanextremelycontagiousdiseasethatcanleadtosevereillness anddeath.ByvisitingSRSRC,youvoluntarilyassumeallrisksrelatedtoexposureto COVID-19foryouandyourchild.
Theparent/guardianwillbecalledimmediatelytopickuptheirchildforemergency injuriesrequiringmedicalattentionorforseriousillness.Ifthelegalguardiancannot becontacted,SRSRCstaffwillbegincontactingtheemergencycontactslistedfor yourchild.
Foraninjuryorillnessbelievedtobebeyondourscope,emergencymedical services(911)maybecalledforemergencytreatment.Accident/Incidentreports fromthesupervisingstaffmemberordirectorwillbewrittenupandgiventothe parent.Anyexpensesforroutineoremergencymedicalcarearetheresponsibilityof theparent.
Accident/IncidentReportsfornon-emergencyinjurieswillbewrittenupbythe supervisingstaffmemberorProgramDirectorandgiventotheparent.
SRSRCSchoolAgeProgramsARENIT-FREEFACILITIES.Pleasenotifytheprogram directorimmediatelyifyourchildhasbeenexposedtoorhaslicesothatwecan addresstheissueaspromptlyandefficientlyaspossible.(Dailyheadchecksand propercleaning.)Earlydetectioniskeytogettingridofliceandnitsquickly.Iflive liceand/ornitsarefoundyourchildwillbesenthomeandcanreturnafter becomingnit-free.Acheckonthehairbythestaff/directorwillberequiredfor return.
