Members, Lodges recognized at annual awards banquet in Killeen
Hundreds of awards were presented at the Twelfth Annual SPJST Awards Banquet held Saturday, February 26, 2005, at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. During the day’s event, many lodges, lodge fraternalists, top-producing sales representatives, and youth leaders were recognized in accordance with the terms of Join
Hands 2004 membership campaign. Many lodge and individual awards were presented. The goal of the SPJST’s Join Hands 2004 program was to write at least 2,345 applications in 2004. A total of 3,952 applications for life insurance and annuity certificates were written in 2004. The banquet began with introductions and welcomes by SPJST officials and Mayor
of Killeen Maureen Jouett. Supreme Lodge Vice President Gene McBride presented a summary of SPJST’s success in 2004. He stated that it was a record-breaking year in all areas of SPJST. Vice President McBride then introduced the 2005 SPJST membership campaign: Challenge 2005. Thirty-eight individuals Continued on page 27.
