Where They're From "We have soldiers from all walks of life and from across the State of Texas serving our country," said Shine. "There are many from the Temple, Belton, Waco, Georgetown and Killeen area currently serving. For many of these young men and women, this is the first time they have been called to active duty and the first time they have been away from their families. We wanted to do something special for them during , the holidays and after visiting with many of them on my trip overseas in October, we began the long-distance telephone card project.
