OUR JOURNEY TO CZECHOSLOVAKIA The picture catches an unplanned but successful stop-over at the home of artist Cyril Chramosty of Husinec, Czechoslovakia, the well-known birthplace of Jan Hus. Eight members of our group patiently wait in the kitchen for fresh dumplings made by his daughter. Teachers of Czech Invited to Prague Nothing can erase the pleasant memories of the 15 members of the American teachers of Czech who traveled to Czechoslovakia in July, 1982. All one has to do is close his eyes and a vivid Czech scene floats by in dazzling glory. Sister Toupal is shown seated. Her children are: L to R: Liddia Ann Toupal, John J. Toupal and Olga Marie (Toupal) Justice. Toupal has resided since May 16, 1979. The ceremony was concluded by a birthday party. Refreshments were provided by SPJST Lodge No. 186. Ing. Ladislav Kouba, assistant secretary of Czechoslovakia Foreign Institute, flanked by Dr. John and Editor Halu"§kova welcomed us at Ruzyne Airport in Prague. A fleeting moment of questioning was displaced by great joy for we were literally engulfed by our welcoming hosts. Every morning of the following two, weeks was packed with a planned program of lectures at

Charles' University. Luncheons at Krakov, Krizovniku and Savoy were chef masterpieces. Czech was spoken all about us. Orders from menus were made in Czech, we learned to order various drinks and refreshments, we became accustomed to a new monetary system. No, nothing can take away the rich experiences we had on our TOO SHORT a trip to Czechoslovakia last July. All of this has caused us to resolve to return to Prague in 1983. Yes, we shall go again! If several more students wish to make a similar tour, the CSUZ is formulating its plans. W. E. Souchek, Czech Instructor
