Instructor TRAINING

Safety Bag instructor training was developed in the Inclusive Safety and Security for Special Groups (OTE) project. The project stems from the policy of facilitating everyone’s right to safe and secure living at home.

The Safety Bag contains safety technologies from different areas of safety and security in everyday life and living. The Bag includes products representing: • Fire and evacuation safety

• Safety in buildings

• Electrical safety

• Personal safety

• Safety of mobility

• Safety from crime, and

• Preparedness

• Financial security.

• Accident prevention

The Safety Bag training addresses safety and security through products. At the same time, participants discuss the intended use of the products, their suitability to different user groups as well as prices and where they can be bought. Yet another goal of the training is to consider how ethical the products are, everyone’s right to make decisions regarding their own safety and security, and the sense of security. Furthermore, the Safety Bag training goes through a checklist for home safety and security, the chore book developed in the OTE project, and examples of maintaining security at home.

Who is the training intended for?

Safety Bag instructor training is suited to all who are interested in their own and others’ safety and security. The Inclusive Safety and Security for Immigrants project organises training for all people working with immigrants, volunteers in organisations and immigrants themselves.

Duration The training lasts three hours.
