Colors of Spectrum is Here to Stay! This year, we rolled out a new theme in our FUN department, Colors of Spectrum. If you’ve been calling our community home for more than a month, you’re probably very familiar with all the FUN that has come along with it! Our goal in creating this new theme was to provide you and our team members who make all the FUN happen with an interesting and new theme that could live on forever and grow over time. It’s a perfect theme - Color is everywhere! Color plays a vitally important role in the world in which we live. Color can sway thinking, change actions, and affect our mood. It can irritate or soothe your eyes, raise your blood pressure, or suppress your appetite. When used in the right ways, color can change the world! That’s why we will continue to bring you colorfully themed events every month, and next year, you can expect a lot more... In 2016, Color Your Life With... Philanthropy! For Spectrum Retirement Communities, 2016 marks the Year of Personal Touch. We take pride in making you feel at home, and we have been able to live up to this motto because we try to inject personal touch into everything we do. From the way the community is decorated, to the food we serve in our beautiful dining rooms, to the loving care that our nursing staff provides, to the exciting activities that our FUN Department offers - we touch lives each and every day and we hope we have made your experience with us feel personal. We live to give of ourselves to you, and this coming year, we want to take it a step further by giving outside of the community as well! It’s been proven through many studies that being involved in one’s community - giving of one’s self to benefit others - greatly improves happiness and gives life more purpose. So, in addition to our already exciting color-themed activities, we will also be providing lots of great opportunities for our residents and team members to BE INVOLVED!
