The Naples Area Professional League of Executive Services, a business-to-business networking organization, announced details of its annual dinner, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9, at Hilton Naples. The event is open to the public and will begin with a cocktail reception followed by a dinner with two guest keynote speakers, NFL alumni David Jones and Ikaika Alama-Francis. “Our members are especially excited about this year’s annual dinner,” said Nicole Ryan, president of NAPLES. “We hope the public will join us in what promises to be a fun and eventful evening, highlighted by our former professional football players and speakers.” DINNER See page 15

After the event concluded, Rosinus said members from the GigWire team set up shop in Endeavor to further develop the idea into a genuine business. But any of the ideas that made it into the finals proved sound enough to rally a team. The true success will come not from winning the event but in following through on the business plan. “It’s up to them,” Rosinus said. The Horizon Council and the Lee County Economic Development Office announced recipients of the annual Industry Appreciation Awards at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort in Bonita Springs. The Business Citizenship Award was presented to Aubuchon Homes (Small category; 1-50 employees) and Sanibel Captiva Community Bank (Large category; 51 or more employees) for their financial, volunteer and active involvement in community organizations and programs that create a better quality of business and civic life in Lee County.
