We had 12 schools represented including local schools Hamburg, Lake Shore, Frontier, Orchard Park, St. Francis and Gowanda. The tournament serves our program in two very important ways. First and foremost, it allows us to reflect and remember Jeremy, who was a great all around athlete and fun loving kid. Secondly, we are able to develop our younger wrestlers at a more fitting level of competition. Eden wrestlers that competed were Tony Cappola (1st place), Luke Podyma (1st place), Jacob Page (2nd place) and Eric Shaffer. The event ran smoothly and with a lot of volunteer help and sponsors. I would like to thank the Eden Administration for allowing such an event to take place on an annual basis. It can’t go without sending out a huge Thank You to the Building and Grounds personnel at Eden. We had a fair amount of snowfall, and well before start time every parking lot and walkway was cleared to perfection. They did an awesome job.

JANE FELTZ (nee Clark) Funeral Services were held at the Wentland Funeral Home for Jane Feltz, of North Collins, NY,who passed away December 29, 2012 at the age of 89.

She was the beloved wife of the late Norman J. Feltz; loving mother of Wayne, Brad (Sandy) Feltz and Stacey (John) Callinan and the late Craig N. Feltz; mother-in-law of Frances Feltz; grandmother to Jennifer (Eric) Small, Lindsey Feltz, Mark (Naomi) Feltz, Marshall Feltz, David (Sharon) Smith, Douglas Feltz, Celeste (Eric) Kwarta, Candice Callinan; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Smith and Lacey Jane Kwarta; sister of Donna (Richard) Orton and the late Ruth Lietz and Sally Schmitz. Jane raised her family on their large farm comanaging its operations.

She worked at the North Collins School System for several years as an aide.

Jane sold Avon for 30 years in the North Collins area. She prided herself in her love of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her friendships with the many folks that have called her a friend.

She baked and cooked for anyone in need and supplied her family with happy memories of large family meals and wonderful holidays. She shared her recipes and anecdotes with all those who sat around her kitchen table. Her humor was always present, lifting hearts and cheering her loved ones. Her forgiving heart and her ability to lead by example is memorable. ________

SCS Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1 & Grade 2 had a field trip to Shea's Performing Arts Center for Shea’ s “On School Time Series”. The series offers live children’s theater on Shea’s main stage. Every show presented supports NYS Common Core standards and is chosen to enhance classroom curriculum. The children watched the Pushcart Players perform “Stone Soup and Other Stories”.
