WOW! We have had such a wonderful second half of the Autumn term and the pupils have been so productive!

The final few weeks were full of so many performance opportunities: nativities, carol services, verse-speaking and even a drama club panto!

We also have had the usual plethora of sporting activities, matches and the Crinkly Cup. Congratulations to Manor House for their win!

We’re looking forward to our January Joys next term as well as all the usual fun and learning.

Diwali Celebrations

Our pupils had the privilege of learning and sharing in the vibrant Diwali celebrations!

Parents of children who celebrate the Festival of Lights shared the beautiful meaning of Diwali with their friends. #DiwaliCelebration #Community

Our pupils united to honor the heroes who gave their all for our freedom.

Years 3 and 4 experienced a great musical opportunity to be part of a performance of Handl’s Messiah. Performing with a live orchestra and adult choir as well as other local schools, the pupils learned their music well and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We had a wonderful time at this year’sThanksgiving Lunch.

A big THANK YOU to Brian and Jillian for hosting this event so brilliantly!

The Reception Children also shared what they were grateful for, as well as describe the story of Thanksgiving and of course, they made us all join in with the Turkey Jive!

Well done to our pre-prep pupils for presenting an absolutely fantastic Nativity play! We're incredibly proud of each and every one of you for delivering such a stellar performance!

Innovation in Action: Upper Prep Pupils Transform Ideas into Ventures for Fiver Challenge

Starting off with our new lecture series, the Year 6,7 & 8 pupils enjoyed a lecture by our guest speaker from Uppingham School on enterprise and global business! They worked really hard and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Spreading Smiles and Holiday Spirit

Year 7 and 8 pupils visited Nowton Court Village to sing, play games and share a delicious roast lunch!

They serenaded residents with Christmas carols which was then followed by board games and interesting conversation and connections over lunch.

We can’t wait to visit again soon. #CommunitySpirit

Year 4 - 8 Verse Speaking Finals

We thoroughly enjoyed ourPrep School verse-speaking finals; there was much talent on display.

Congratulations to Derrick for his outstanding rendition of the Charge of the Light Brigade.

Highly commended were Ruby, Evie & David (who even wrote his own poem for the occasion!) Well done, all.

South Lee Prep Christmas Fayre A huge thanks to our wonderful PTA for organising our annual Christmas Fayre. Much fun was had and lots of money was raised for great causes.

Thank you to all the stall holders too!

Lower and Pre-Prep had a great time at the Rock n Roll Panto in Ipswich. This is a unique pantomime in that all the actors also play their own instruments. Inspiring and good fun - that’s a good day out!

We saw some amazing performances in our Nursery Nativity. It was a joy to watch from start to finish.

And everyone was only 4 or under!

Well done!

It’s been a fun and busy term on the sports pitch.

The pupils have excelled with some brilliant results, teamwork and effort.

Christmas Carol Service

Our final event of the term took place at the beautiful St Edmundsbury Cathedral. Our Carol Service was filled with joy as the pupils retold the Christmas story through music and readings.

South Lee Prep School's Christmas Elf Run on December 5th was a great success. All pupils from Reception to Year 8 came together for this festive event, spreading joy and raising over £1000 for The Children's Trust.
