Welcome
At South Lee Prep School, we are incredibly fortunate to have a wide range of visiting teachers. There is something for everyone should you wish.
Please have a look through this booklet and contact the teachers directly or Mrs Chinnery for music lessons. Parents should note that when a child starts their visiting teacher lessons, a contract is formed and that half a term’s notice is required in writing (by email) should you wish the lessons to stop Entering LAMDA or music exams will also incur additional charges which will be explained to you if your child intends to work towards exams.
Pupils may sometimes miss some of their school lessons in order to attend their visiting teacher lesson. Staff endeavour to make up the learning and a rota system is used to minimise disruption. Your preferences and priorities can be discussed when starting with your new teacher.

Music
We currently have the following Visiting Music Teachers at South Lee Prep.
Drums with Stephen Williamson
Singing with Katie Pringle
Piano with Sarah Purves or Rachel Chester
Violin & Cello lessons with Rachel Sokolwski
Trombone, Trumpet, Flute and all things brass with Rachel Chester
In addition to this, should there be an instrument that your child would like to learn that we don’t currently have a teacher for, we are often able to find new teachers for these instruments, so do get in touch to ask!

Drama (LAMDA)
Explore the world of dramatic arts and enhance your communication skills with our comprehensive range of lessons, available for pupils from Reception to Year 8.

Mrs Louise Lindfield teaches Drama lessons in the curriculum at school, runs her own professional theatre company and also teaches a variety of different LAMDA options including: musical theatre, devising and public speaking.
