The ordinance review committee recommended a policy last week that while lacking an enforcement mechanism, could curb use of the seal without permission from the Town Manager Mark Sciota. Futtner said it’s an approach that other towns have taken.

Board appoints new Thalberg principal By Jesse Buchanan Record-Journal staff

The Board of Education appointed a town resident and Enfield school principal to lead Thalberg School.

Katherine Reeves will start as Thalberg principal July 1. She’s been principal of Enfield Street School since 2014 and started as an elementary teacher in 1996.

“It’s impossible to take that back and it’s almost impossible to regulate at that point,” she said.

Reeves replaces Megan Bennett, who was hired in 2012. Bennett left to become superintendent of Regional School District 12, which includes See Principal, A2
