Business Spotlight: SUBWAY

Local Restaurateur Marco Scognamiglio is dedicated to “getting involved and giving back” By Jody Robinson

It isn’t always easy to trace the beginnings of a business, especially a lucrative one. Many times you have to wend back through a great many partnerships, over all the handshakes and deals made, past the initial boom to the original idea.

First generation college graduate from Arizona State University with a degree in Business Communication and Management, the Dana Point native followed in his parents’ footsteps into the local restaurant business. Marco currently operates five Southern California Subway franchises - in San Clemente, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills and two in Dana Point.
