HALSE UNITED
Its third against fourth in the last league match of the season, and both sides have everything to play for. Today’s visitors will be looking to hold on to their fourth place position as Launton, currently sitting in fifth and only one point below, will be playing their last match away to Summertown Stars and looking for three points to overtake Halse above. In the reverse fixture back in October Southam scored the only goal of the match through forward Jay Lawes. However, it was a tightly contested affair and the Saints felt fortunate to
come away with an important win. Today the visiting side will surely rely on top scorers Oliver Read and Cameron Harris who have netted 10 and 8 goals respectively over the course of the season. It will be an uphill task, however, as Southam look to make up points on Kennington, currently sitting in second, and only one point to the better, to take the runners-up position. The home side will surely find confidence in their 10game unbeaten streak to put them across the line.
