ASH KNIGHTS LETTER FROM THE CAPTAIN

Welcome back to Bobby Hancocks Park for today’s OSL game against Yarnton FC. Last week’s result against Launton was massive. Third versus fourth was set up for a close encounter, however, it finished with a comfortable 3-0 win. Its another 3 points and another clean sheet. The only disappointment was that we didn’t score more goals. I do feel that the difference between now and a few months ago is we are defending a lot better. Only conceding 1 goal in the last 7 games proves this. A few months ago we would have scored 2 but conceded 3 due to poor defending, individual mistakes, and missing a hatful of chances that would ultimately cost us. Being more clinical is something that we will definitely need to work on, especially going into the league above next season. The higher you play the less chances you will get, so its important to take your chances. Even though to finish 2nd is out of our

hands it is still our aim to win all three remaining games and see where it puts us. It all starts today and the lads are keen to keep this run of form going. Hope you enjoy the game. UTS
