It was third against fourth in the OxfordshireSenior League Premier Division at BobbyHancocks Park on Saturday and SouthamUnited emerged 3-0 winners to extend theirunbeaten run to nine matches.

Both teams had drawn their previous match,Southam away to Cropredy and Launton athome to Halse United, and there was not muchbetween the two sides in the first half with a13th minute goal from Ethan Champkinsshading it in Saints favour.

Ricky Barby doubled their lead in the 68thminute and substitute Matt Pemberton added athird, his first for the club, with 10 minutes togo. Shane Osborne hit the crossbar in the finalminute, but it stayed at 3-0 as Saints closed thegap on second placed Kennington Athletic,who were without a match, to one point.
