Selina Manangan's work LALAHON Goddessofvolcanoes
Lalahon is known as the Goddess of good harvest and volcanoes. She is a prominent figure in aeta and negrito tribes because of the calamities she is known to cause to them such as volcanic eruptions and harvesting being destroyed. They worshiped her and performed sacrifices as a form of offering to her to keep her satisfied, this offering used to be in the form of virgin females but now a simple fire offering is known to suffice her. She is known for her protection and caring nature towards wildlife and harvests. She is depicted as a beautiful woman with hair of fire, eyes as red as burning coal, lips as red as rubies and a body that can turn into lava. I had figured to embellish her with head accessories that would be prominent within the tribes that she was worshiped in.
