Looking through the world in a Lens allowed him to see the world in a new light. Photography felt like cooking for him, mixing ingredients in order to create something that actually has value instead of just coming up with something random and expecting it to be good or even decent.

Being equipped with a camera only on his phone, a camera that is not of the newest and definitely far from the best, resulting in his photos being less detailed and having lesser quality. Struggling with this predicament, he still pushes to produce photos that are sometimes competitive. Abram then compensates this by producing photos that are more form oriented like shadows and highlights. Currently still trying to improve his craft in photography and adjusting to it. Still a Senior High School student, Abram has a lot to learn in his journey, the willingness to “do better” so that he will have sufficient skill to deliver even more compelling photos.

My journey with photography always had but 1 thought in my mind, that photography should be used to capture moments you don't want to forget or you want to look back at them in the future."

As an artist who usually uses mainly a pen to create art, photography was a challenge for Abram. This portfolio presents the collection of the journey of a student artist in his growth in photography. Compositions were something that puzzled him, it was like a completely different dimension, compositions in drawing are something more flexible unlike in photography, wherein there are more factors to consider.

"Holding a camera was never really Sophia's forte, she stated that she was not skilled enough to be aware of the certain angles that the subject of the photo will be needing to do. She believed that photography, much like all other mediums of art, is one of the many forms of artistic archives used by all people who wish to document, narrate, collect or record past experiences of people, happenings, places and things. Ever since Sophia was a little girl she has always been entranced and enchanted with all things colorful, that a pop of life in any picture was enough to catch her eye.

Anytime Sophia sees something that catches her eye, may it be a dog laying in the street or the sunset filled with vibrant purples and reds, she takes an initiative to take a photo of it. Sophia mostly made herself as the subject of her photos, being in front of the camera made her feel like the star of the show and that no one else is watching her while she struts herself. Photography has always made Sophia feel confident and assured. Sophia is truly a walking memory collector, ready to document color and life.
