At the height of summer’s swimsuit season, who couldn’t use a reminder that our bodies are each one of a kind, perfectly designed by our Creator? Pat Noble has published a combination workbook and study guide to address this very issue. It’s called a Devotional Diary and it is titled “My Cu†e Daughter.“ “Cute” stands for “Covered Until The End.”

Inspiration for the book came from Pat’s dad. After the loss of her first baby, Pat felt herself sinking into depression, weighed down by the painful questions that follow the death of a child. She put her questions into a letter to her father. He sent back three pages filled with love and understanding. Pat credits that letter as starting her on a path to healing. She wrote this book to bring that same encouragement to others.

The book contains 52 devotionals to be shared with a young woman aged 14 or older. Pat suggests that a parent or mentor can use it effectively with a younger person. Then three discussion questions accompany each devotional to spark conversation and sharing. This book would also benefit a person of faith of any age.

According to page four “If you wear a size 0-6, have a certain hair texture and skin tone, you are somehow destined to be beautiful, successful, and happy, But these standards represent lies our culture wants you to believe.” The early part of the book focuses on managing this pressure to conform to cultural standards of beauty, but later devotionals cover various aspects of life we all face.

The “Leap of Faith” page encourages taking risks to enjoy the adventure of life. “Be Adaptable” promotes flexibility, being prepared to change with an open heart and a curiosity about the unfamiliar. Near the end of the book “Enjoy Life, Take Time to Play and Have Fun” leads the reader to delight in God’s creation and celebrate the joys He provides.

Devotional diary of 52 weekly devotionals to be shared with a young lady or woman age 14+
