Mayor Garza Highlights Edinburg’s Transformation in 2025 State of the City Address

The 2025 Edinburg State of the City Address celebrated a year of record-breaking growth and transformation. Centered on the theme Excellence in Action, Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr. delivered a powerful message, highlighting over $1 billion in direct construction activity, more than $100 million in sales tax revenue, and thousands of new jobs created—all signs of a thriving, forward-moving city.

“Edinburg is thriving like never before,” said Mayor Garza. “This isn’t just growth; it’s transformation.”

As he nears the end of his term, the mayor reflected on his journey, including his ongoing battle with prostate cancer. With gratitude and resilience, he pledged to finish strong.

“This was never my plan, but God has different plans for me,” he shared. “Edinburg, thank you for the opportunity to serve you.”

The address stood as a tribute to Edinburg’s progress and a promise that the best is still to come.
