Hats Off Honors RGV’s Leading Ladies

The 2025 Hats Off to Women of Distinction Dinner & Expo was a powerful and elegant celebration of Latina leadership in the Rio Grande Valley. Held on March 19 at the Mission Event Center, this sold-out event brought together community leaders, families, and supporters to honor ten remarkable women for their achievements across diverse industries. 

The inductees included, Dr. Teresa Patricia Feria Arroyo, Estela Salazar, Leah Wise, Mayor Norma Sepulveda, Sylvia Hinojosa, Mary Lou Vicencio, Naomi Perales, Dr. Annabelle Palomo, Maria “Lupita” Guerra, and Maru De La Paz.

Each honoree represented a unique journey and emphasized the importance of community, leadership, resilience, and service. From community advocacy to corporate leadership, education to healthcare, and media to environmental innovation, these women demonstrated the depth and breadth of Latina excellence in the region. The event was not only about recognition but about sharing the experiences and lessons learned to inspire others.
