Gifts are always given and received with both hands, and small gifts such as fruit or traditional tea are common.
Although public places can be crowded, it is best to maintain appropriate personal space and avoid unnecessary physical contact during conversations.

How to apply for a K-ETA visa
K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization system required when entering Korea. You must apply online before visiting Korea, and once your application is approved, you can travel without a visa for a certain period of time.
K-ETA is required for foreign travelers from visa-exempt countries. It is generally applied to those who wish to enter Korea for the purpose of tourism, business, visiting relatives, etc. If you are not from a visa-exempt country, you must apply for a general visa. A list of countries that can apply for K-ETA can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
You can apply for K-ETA through the official website or mobile app.
The application process is online, and you just need to fill out the required information and documents and pay the fee. You can check the detailed instructions on the website.
1
2
Foreigners wishing to enter the Republic of Korea without a visa must obtain a K-ETA permit before boarding an aircraft or ship.
Please note that the review time may take more than 72 hours depending on the application and the applicant's circumstances.
The K-ETA permit can be used multiple times within the validity period (usually 3 years).
However, the K-ETA permit does not guarantee entry into the Republic of Korea.
The final decision on whether to enter the Republic of Korea is made based on the results of the entry screening by the Korean immigration officer.
3
The K-ETA fee is KRW 10,000 (approximately USD 9 to USD 10, excluding additional fees) and is a fee for review and is not refundable even if the application is rejected.
The K-ETA Center is not responsible for fees charged by third parties (agents).
4
Those who have received K-ETA permission are exempted from filling out an entry card upon entry, allowing them to conveniently undergo an entry inspection. K-ETA can be applied for by a proxy, and up to 50 people, including the applicant, can apply and pay at once.
However, profit-making activities through proxy applications are not permitted.
If you have both a K-ETA and a valid alien registration card (or domestic residence report card) when entering the Republic of Korea, the stay qualification and period of stay of the alien registration card (or domestic residence report card) will be given priority. According to Article 37, Paragraph 1 of the Immigration Control Act, if you have already returned your alien registration card (or domestic residence report card) to an immigration officer when you left the Republic of Korea in the past, or will return it when you enter the Republic of Korea this time, you can enter the country with a K-ETA. Please note that even if you have both a K-ETA and a valid Republic of Korea visa, the stay qualification and period of stay of the visa you currently have will be given priority. 5
