Empowering Women in the Fields of Construction, Architecture+Design and Real Estate

Ill-fitting personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, poses several safety hazards, particularly in construction and industrial environments:

Significance : The lack of appropriately fitting personal protective equipment (PPE) for women in construction creates significant safety risks. Traditional PPE, often designed for male proportions, can lead to severe safety hazards when ill-fitted to women’s bodies. Poorly fitting hard hats, for example, can shift or fall off during work, potentially exposing users to head injuries. Other common issues include oversized safety harnesses that might not properly support women working at heights, increasing fall risks.

Panel Discussion : The construction industry has long been dominated by men, but recent years have seen a significant push towards greater DEI. Insightful Collaboratives initiatives aim to create an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, race, or background, can thrive. This effort is particularly critical for women in construction, who still face unique challenges and stereotypes.

Insighful Collaborative’s distinctive mission: to amplify diversity and inclusion within the commercial real estate market. At the core of our vision was the recognition of a crucial gap in panel platforms that specifically catered to the voices of women, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Basalt Home - Construction In progress

Our latest construction project in Basalt: This mountain home is under construction, and images showcase various design aspects. The images above show the curated custom cabinetry and handmade accent tile work. The client chose a more timeless classic look with a rustic wood accent. This touch of rustic wood complements the outdoor wood used for this property.

Celebrating Women in The Business of Sales + Marketing

Mauge is a creative boutique in Chicago’s Wicker Park Bucktown neighborhood. The firm helps businesses grow their value by promoting their impact. Sometimes that means a new identity, others it means a new advertising campaign. Either way, everything they do is meant to earn the attention and trust of those they serve. They provide Boutique Branding, Premier Creative and Strategic marketing in all sectors of real estate, hospitality and professional services both in Chicago and nationwide. As the head “people person” at Mauge, Ginna has been an integral part of the Mauge team since she joined the firm in 1998. She manages the critical responsibility of business development and growth for the agency. She is an active member of numerous organizations that allow her to remain connected to the marketplace the firm operates within. These include NAWBO, REIA, ULI, and the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. To support her business development efforts, Ginna has assembled an award-winning design & marketing team; she has amassed a celebrated portfolio of work, and she has earned the valued respect of her peers. Aside from her primary role, Ginna is an advocate and mentor for students and recent graduates, often women, who are searching for their first jobs post graduation. She leverages her extensive network to assist them in making connections in the real estate & marketing space.

If we’re anything at Mauge, it’s user-centric. And that’s what made our 2022 project with The Opus Group and Greystar Midwest so fun. Because rather than being a single demographic, their target audience was the combination of two, unified by the label “rentersbychoice,” which meant that with a single identity, we had to appeal to both young couples and empty nesters at the same time. Thus, rather than locking onto the property’s location, history, or architecture, we decided to capture the property’s fresh, new energy.
