KIWANIS CARD DRIVE
HANI KAZANJI | PRESIDENT
Kiwanis really is an organization that deserves a lot of respect. They obviously sponsor our club, allowing it to exist in the first place, but their overall mission as an organization is very commendable to me. They are simply trying to make a positive impact in all the communities they can reach, and they're simply trying to make children's lives better. As an appreciation, I wanted to host an event where our members can thank such a great organization. During September, mainly for the CNH Serve-tember initiative, we had a Key Club 101 series running on Instagram, and for our post dedicated to teaching our members who Kiwanis is, we attached a service project where members could create cards thanking our Kiwanis for service hours. We had decent participation in this event, with 22 cards being made in total. Once the card drive was done, I and my friend Joelle went to the weekly Kiwanis meeting to catch up with our sponsoring Kiwanis chapter, and also to give them our cards to show them appreciation. I got to meet Savanna's new Kiwanis advisor, and he was very pleased with the fact that we did this act of appreciation for them. All the other Kiwanians were also happy to see our club's efforts. Overall, the Kiwanis card drive was a success and I was very happy to see that our Kiwanis chapter appreciated this kind gesture.
