Welcome to SIFF and the Battle of the Bands. It's great to have you here.

We have a good number of KPOP bands entered in the Battle of the Bands this time and I am trying to make sense of it all. As a member of a punk band I, personally, have not been exposed to a lot of KPOP and don't get it. So, what is it that makes KPOP so popular? Nara: The catchy lyrics, the rhythm/beats of the songs, the less-Americanized lyrics, and of course, the visuals. Crystal: Yes, many people in Asia are starting to discover KPOP even worldwide

Speaking of SIFF, why did you enter the Battle of the Bands? What drew you to SIFF? Victoria: Many of my friends recommend we enter SIFF Battle and its kind of interesting ... Nara: We are so curious about it

What can we expect to see from you at SIFF? Do you plan on releasing a video? Nara: We're gonna release a music video this month and before SIFF .. Crystal: We're gonna be very busy and hard working

I've read a bit about GDay and the first thing I want to know is that an abbreviation for something? You know, like Aussies will say g'day instead of good day...or is something else entirely? Nara: GDay is abbreviation of Girls Day. Victoria picked the name, we wanted to change the name but its kind of too late..

Okay. This training thing that KPOP bands do...what is this? Most punk bands or rock bands start in someone's basement. Sometimes some or none of the people have any musical background but they just keep practicing until they hit on something that doesn't suck. You guys do this training thing for years where you are taught to sing and dance. Can anyone get involved in this? Crystal: Its very useful for singing, dancing and acting. We don't have freedom and some trainee get scolded..Its so sad

Victoria: We sing until our throats hurt but we take many sore throat candies and we even sleep in the studio and dance practice room. Gyuri: Yes and No .. I don't know what to answer‌

What made you decide you wanted to go through this training? Obviously it started a young age. How did you balance that with school? Were your parents supportive and do you ever regret it? Nara: Every member always wanted to be a singer, and its always our dreams Gyuri: Well, we needed to move to a school that near the label's building/office, and we have to go training at noon everyday until night. Yes, my family always supports me. They even recommend I to go audition. I was very happy when I passed the audition. I don't regret it. Victoria: Same. Crystal is my sister so I went to audition with her. We are from the US so we live in the dorm when others live at their own home. What do you do when you aren't training? Nara: Most of them practice singing and some practice singing, they don't stop.

http://goo.gl/J7KpYK Do you write your own music or do you have someone who does that? Victoria: We wrote our own songs and some artists gave us songs Nara: I was in-charge!

Do you plan on releasing an album any time soon? Nara: Yes, we are releasing some mini album called “The Misconceptions Of Us” , there will be two chapters and we will release an album around June or July Victoria: I can’t wait, it will be kind of hard!

What does the future hold for GDay? Nara: We don’t know about our future but .. Crystal: more music videos, and hope for success Now for some random questions from the SIFF fans out there. What is your favorite social networking site and why? Nara: Facebook, its kind of easy Gyuri: Twitter, I don't know i just love it Victoria: Facebook, me too Minha: Instagram, you know Crystal: Facebook , i like to communicate with friends

What is your favorite book? Nara: Harry Potter, I love magic .. Gyuri I like Twilight … Crystal: Eew, I hate them! Victoria: I like Self improvement books, you know the reasons hehe Minha: Uum, I don’t like books Crystal: I don’t remember them, I have many favorite books !

What would your pro-wrestler name be? Victoria: *cough* We don’t like them…hehe they’re little too much for me

Which one is your favorite Power Ranger? All: Pink! Crystal: *laughs* We love pinks and its because of reasons One last question, and I'm asking everyone I can think of and since you are here and I am asking questions...can any of you tell me three differences between N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys Nara: I don't know about them but Victoria will answer because she is from US Victoria: Hmm, I think The Backstreet Boys is more a vocal group .. than N Sync
