Dear guests, partners, friends, and Chedi-Family, after a hot summer season, we are now looking forward to fresher, cooler days in Ander matt. Before we embrace the new season, let me personally express my gratitude to you for an incredible 2022 summer season.
As we look ahead, we draw inspiration from our Alpine-Asian philosophy of mindfulness which will continue to play a lead role. The forthcom ing winter season will offer an abundance of opportunities to share wintery moments of rest and regeneration as well as invigorating adven tures in what we call Andermatt’s unique «Alpine Temple». We feel confident that whatever the as piration, we can fulfil all of our guests’ winterly dreams. Read on to discover our insider tips for the winter season from The Chedi Andermatt-Team. THE WINTER VILLAGE
A SKETCH TURNS INTO REALITY
Inmitten von einem neu gepflanz ten Tannenwald werden wir diesen Winter unsere Gäste mit etwas überraschen, was es so noch nicht gegeben hat im The Chedi Ander matt. The Winter Village.
Auf den Saisonstart hin wird im The Courtyard ein Winterdorf im Chedi-Style gebaut. Nebst dem traditionellen Chalet werden eine finnische Sauna, ein zu befeuernder Hot-Tub, ein kleiner Dorfplatz und ein Hexenhäuschen – für intime kulinarische Momente – im winterlichen The Chedi-Wald für jedermann versteckt sein.

Opening in time for the season’s start, The Winter Village will take centre stage in The Courtyard. Naturally, in The Chedi-Style, it will reflect the traditional Swiss chalet aesthetic, whilst being complemented by a Finnish sauna, a wood-fired hot tub, a small village square and a fairy cottage –offering intimate culinary delights. Step inside The Chedi Forest and discover a winter wonderland.

Das höchstgelegene japanische Res taurant der Welt mit einem Michelin-Stern bietet Skifahrern hier auf dem Gütsch einen einzigartigen kulinarischen Hochgenuss.
Geluncht wird auf 2400 Metern im The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt, während man bei Kai seki, Sushi, Kaviar und Champagner die atemberaubende alpine Bergwelt bestaunt. Nicht nur Skifahrer kommen in den Genuss dieses aus sergewöhnlichen Erlebnisses. Das Restaurant liegt direkt an der Bergstation Gütsch und kann somit auch bequem zu Fuss erreicht werden.
Skiers will be treated quite literally to a new culinary highlight on mount Gütsch, as we unveil, the highest Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in the world.
The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt sits at a height of 2400 metres, and is set to become the destination for lunch. Winter sports enthusiasts can take a break from the slopes, and gaze at the breathtaking Alpine vista whilst sampling kaiseki, sushi, caviar and Champagne or work up an appe tite on-foot as the restaurant is located opposite the Gütsch mountain station.
