In the urban future, nature has been overlooked by society’s chaotic, fast-paced city lifestyle. In order to achieve a positive progression, we must reclaim our connection to each other and nature. The future public library inspires users to nurture and learn about their earth- functioning as a central hub for resources and nature. As one of the last true public spaces, the library serves as a common space for uncommon users. Providing the opportunities to explore sustainable COME + GO practices, COMMON GROW offers community amenities, such as farmers’ markets and garden spaces encircled by resources, such as a seed library and material checkout, as well as social services, such as pop up clinics and tax help.
