Allow at least two feet away from the unit.

• Wash the outside condensing unit with a water hose. Make sure power is OFF, water ONLY. No chemicals. This will help unit run more efficiently.

• Programmable Thermostat. You save more energy with a programmable thermostat vs. a regular thermostat. You can pre-program your settings so that the

thermostat raises the temperature while you’re at work and asleep and lowers temperature settings while at home and awake.

• Update old equipment with more energy efficient units to lower energy costs.

• Make sure the seals around the front and back door are well sealed, if not you can lose a lot of cold air. Also be sure to check your attic door to make sure it is well insulated, as this is another way for the summer heat to invade your home.

SUMMER BREAK HAS FLOWN BY AND THE RITUAL OF BACK TO SCHOOL TIME IS HERE ONCE AGAIN. KIDS HAVE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL FOR ABOUT 80 DAYS. IF KIDS HAVEN’T SPENT ANY TIME ON BRUSHING UP ON TOPICS THAT THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE PAST SCHOOL YEAR; THE TRANSITION WOULD BE DIFFICULT. TEACHERS SPEND LESS TIME REVIEWING AND START COVERING NEW TOPICS. COMPETITION WILL BE INTENSE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR SINCE MOST PARENTS REGISTER THEIR KIDS FOR EDUCATIONAL SUMMER CAMPS TO GET AHEAD FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR. “OUR MATH SUMMER CAMPS WERE AT MAX CAPACITY” SAYS STUDY DORM CEO SHAHIN NANJI.
