What is Splatsin's involvement?
The project fulfills some of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action including improved education, health facilities and green infrastructure. The Shuswap Healing Centre will be owned by Sicamous taxpayers and operated by the District of Sicamous in conjunction with our partner Splatsin.

What services will be in the centre?
The Eagle Valley Community Support Society is working with us to determine interior programming and may be a tenant offering support services We are also working to bring Interior Health into the new centre. There will be a traditional healing space and room for other services as the community grows

Why do we need this project? The current facility is aging and needs upgrades. The new building will be double the space and the medical clinic will be moved over. Our community is growing and so should our health options! The new building is 78% grant funded and we continue to explore other funding opportunities
