message from the mayor Happy Summer Everyone! The Summer recreation guide is here and filled with non-stop summer fun! Thank you to Jamie and the team for making this the best summer recreation guide to date! The activities to engage in as an adult, youth or child are amazing, no boring summer days in Sicamous.

I look forward to July long weekend, Sicamous never disappoints with the July 1st fireworks show and day activities. Please remember the District of Sicamous prohibits the use of fireworks in Sicamous, please leave that display to the professionals. With the forests so tinder dry, please do not chance creating a forest fire caused by human error. This also extends to your back yard fires or campfires, please be responsible, having a water supply close by. The only thing that could diminish the great summer ahead is forest fires. While we can’t control lightning strikes, we can control us. I look forward to seeing everyone at the August family fun day! Get working on your cardboard boats and make sure to get registered for the boat races. Stop by the beach park for a "by donation", hot dog or burger. Council and I will be serving burgers for a couple of hours! It’s always nice to feel that great energy and see those tanned smiling faces! Summer doesn’t get any better than Sicamous! For those of you that live here, you know what I’m talking about. For our visitors, enjoy your summer in Sicamous and I know we’ll see you again next year!
