TALK OF THE HILL Volume Issue2 1
Spring Hill VS. Parker’s Chapel
On Thursday, August 17 the Spring Hill Bears traveled to Parkers Chapel right outside of El Dorado to scrimmage the Trojans in a hot football game. The captains of the game that night were Trace Clements and Carson Moore The Trojans won the coin toss and TJ Tipton kicked off. We stopped them on the first drive and made them punt. Maddox Dickson started the game off with a sack. Mason Moore smoked a guy who fumbled the ball where Zane Minton picked up the fumble to head towards Bear territory Alex scored a touchdown in regulation and Mason Moore scored in the 4th quarter. The cheerleaders were loud and proud! For an away game we had several students show up! We hope to pack the stands at ALL the home games! We’ve got some work to do but a big season ahead of us!

“Step out of the history that is holding you back. Step into the new story you are willing to create.”
New school year, new beginning. This is a time to wake up and have a fresh start. Every teacher gives you a 100% in your class to start the year. It is easier to maintain the 100% than to start from 0% and work your way up! Take the challenge, you can do it!!!

Favorite memory at Spring Hill? I haven't been here long, but so far my happiest moments have been walking into school with my children and being so welcomed by all of the staff!
What makes Spring HIll special to you? Spring Hill is special to me, because it is such a huge family!
Out of all your classes, which is your favorite to teach? I only teach Secondary English and I love all of my classes that I have!
Why did you choose to be a teacher? I always wanted to become a teacher, because I wanted to be able to help children push themselves to be the best that they can be and to know that they can do anything they set their minds to!
Mrs. Johnson
Elisa Malvestio is from Italy She prefers to be called Eli (pronounced Ellie) since it's easier. the thing I liked the most is the beautiful landscapes that are in the countryside, now I live in the middle of the fields between horses and cows and there is a feeling of peace and tranquility that I struggle to find in Italy. What she misses most about being away from home is probably the food and my family, in Italy we usually have lunch and dinner together with all of the family, while here is different. She has a brother who is not an exchange student. Let's make Eli feel welcome into the Bear Family.

Blakelee Adams
Blakelee has attended Spring Hill since the 4th grade. Her favorite memory of Spring Hill is the basketball games because she always gets excited. Her goal for this year is to graduate and go to college. She wants to go to SAU or UAMS. After college Blakelee plans to become an ultrasound tech. In her free time, Blakelee plays basketball and cheers. Asking Blakelee what she will miss most her response was "I will miss the people most. I feel like everyone here is really close and when I leave I won't get to see my friends every day." One piece of advice Blakelee wishes for underclassmen to know is "Don't take everything seriously. The time will go by fast so make sure you are having fun and making memories."
