In September 2020, in coordination with National Rural NABARD SELF HELP Livelihood Mission and NABARD, Shivganga organized Self-help GROUP MEETING group meeting in Kakdkuan village. Shree Priyansh Choudhary from Shivganga explained the various government scheme & loan facility available for women 4 SEPTEMBER 2020 empowerment. He also explained the importance of women selfhelp groups through which they can save money and start their venture.

BAMBOO TRAINING 4 - 12 SEPTEMBER 2020

Bamboo holds immense potential in augmenting livelihood of the tribal of Jhabua. In guidance of Dr Parag Vayas, Shivganga is providing Bamboo Handicraft training to the youths of Jhabua. Handmade Bamboo Diyas - Mahua and Dhanush are getting huge response from corporate and urban populace. Jhabua Carfts is marketing this diya through its online portal jhabuacraft.com. In this month total, 52 youth from 23 different villages got trained.

WELDING TRAINING CAMP 16-23 SEPTEMBER 2020

Shivganga is continuously working for Entrepreneurship and livelihood generation. Shivganga is identifying various skills suiting to the needs of Jhabua. In the same line, we started Welding Workshop as a new segment for livelihood generation. In 7 days training programme led by Abhishek Somani(B.Tech, IIT Roorkee), trainees learnt detailed technical aspects of welding work.

BASIC & ADVANCE ORGANIC FARMING CAMP 19 & 9 SEPTEMBER 2020

In September 2020 Shivganga organised two Organic farming training camps in village Chhagola and Dharampuri. In these camps total, 54 farmers were trained. Shri Hukumchand Patidar Padmashree Awardee, interacted with farmers on advance organic farming. He also explained about the increase in demand of organic products among urban populace.

In September 2020 Shivganga organised Gram Samriddhi Baithak in village Junapani. Shivganga team distributed fruit plants to 100 tribal families. The purpose is to incorporate GRAM SAMRIDDHI essential nutrients in the daily diet of families. BAITHAK Shri Rajaram Katara also discussed with villagers about various dimensions of Gram Samriddhi and explained the importance of 17 SEPTEMBER Jal, Jungle, Jan, Jameen and Janwar for the prosperity of the 2020 village. The conservation of our natural resources is a key for sustainable rural development.

The 'Forest Rights Act' enacted by the GOI in 2006 did not COMMUNITY FOREST reach the ground. Shivaganga awaring tribals on forest rights RIGHTS TRAINING as Jhabua has immense opportunity for prosperity through forests. 20 SEPTEMBER In this context, Forest Rights and Biodiversity training camp 2020 was held, in which 34 villagers from 12 villages interacted with Shri Girish Kuber and Conservation Biologist Shri Mungikar discussed forest rights and PESA law with the villagers.

Health issues are the major reason for the debt in Jhabua. shivganga organised a training camp on Sept 10 led by SWACHHA GAON, Kimbaly Mahakalkar, a medical student of RCSM Government SWASTHA PARIWAR Medical College, Kolhapur. 107 women from 33 villages attended the camp where Kimbaly discussed the importance of basic hygiene and cleanliness and also importance of basic 10 SEPTEMBER 2020 nutrition in daily meal. Healthy women can create a healthy society and build a strong tomorrow, with this thought this camp was a huge success.

'TADVI' BAITHAK SEPTEMBER 2020

'Tadvi' is the traditional head of the village and they have a important place in social structure of the village. In September 20, Tadavis across Jhabua were invited for a discussion on 'Gram Samriddhi'. 180 Tadvi from 135 villages were attended the meeting and discussed how, through our traditional knowledge.

ADVANCE TRAINING - NANDURBAR 22 -23 SEPTEMBER 2020

In September 2020, a group of 23 farmers visited Dr Hedgewar Sewa Samiti Nandurbar (Maharashtra) for exposure in value-addition in farm produce. This organization is working in the field of agriculture since 1992, with the aim to limit migration from rural areas. Farmers learned various advance techniques of organic farming and food processing especially processing of pulses and other grains.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CAMP 26 -30 SEPTEMBER 2020

Social capital generation is the fundamental process for sustainable rural development. Youths assume various roles from trainee to trainer in subsequent camp, gradually moulding into a Social Leader. It is these social leaders who become the agent of change in the villages working towards Holistic Development of their village. In September 2020, Shivganga organised one Youth Empowerment camp in which 34 youths from 15 villages got trained.

OTHER EVENTS Youth Camp organised on 9th & 10th September in which 10 students of Jhabua interacted with Shivganga's team and understood various dimensions of Holistic Rural Developemnt.

Jila Baithak organised on 15th and 16th September in which 94 volunteers from 40 villages participated.

To motivate farmers for organic farming Shivganga distributed seeds to 22 farmers of Gulapara Village.
