Youth Sports Leagues General Information
Requests for teams, players, practice days, and coaches are not guaranteed. A $10 nonrefundable fee will be charged per player for registration taken after the registration deadline. Late registration will be accepted on a space-available basis and are not guaranteed placement on teams or accommodation of special requests. Jerseys will not be guaranteed for the first game for any accepted late registrations. Volunteer coaches are always welcomed! Youth Fall Soccer League Grades K-8
Sign up now for fall soccer action! This volunteer-coached program introduces the fundamentals of playing soccer through weekly practices and an eight game schedule that emphasizes proper technique, knowledge of rules, participation, sportsmanship, and fun. Players are assigned to teams based on their grade entering the 2021/2022 school year. Players will be contacted by their coach after they have been assigned to a team. Teams can begin to practice on August 25th. Rosters are final once released to the Volunteer Coach. Jerseys and socks are included in the registration fee. All volunteer coaches and assistant coaches must attend a mandatory coaches meeting at the Recreation Center on August 18th at 6:00P. Floor Hockey games will consist of three, twelve-minute periods in a 4v4 format (including goalie). Requests for teams, players, coaches, are not guaranteed. At this age level volunteer coaches will help officiate games. No records or scores are kept, and equal participation is a must. Teams will have the option to practice up to once a week if they desire. A park district team t-shirt is included in the registration fee. Each player will be required to bring and wear his or her own shin guards and provide their own googles. Park District hockey sticks will be provided and used by all players. Youth Basketball League Assessments Grades 1-8
All basketball participants enrolling in Bitty Basketball, Co-Ed Basketball, Inter-District 5th-6th Grade Boys Basketball, or InterDistrict 7th-8th Grade Boys Basketball are REQUIRED to attend the league basketball assessment. Volunteer Warrenville basketball coaches will assess your basketball skills. These assessments will help us form balanced teams in the Bitty, Co-Ed, and Inter-District Boys Basketball Leagues. Bitty Basketball League Grades 1-2
This league has been designed to introduce boys and girls to fundamental skill development through organized practices and games. At this age level, players will play on 8 foot baskets and use a junior sized basketball. Practices will begin the week of January 10th and play games against other teams on Saturdays once the season begins. All players will receive an end of season trophy and graduating 2nd graders will receive a brand new basketball. Players are required to attend the Mandatory Skills Assessment on January 8th at 1:45p.m. at the Recreation Center Gym in order to participate. Volunteer coaches also help referee games. No records or scores are kept, and equal participation is a must. All volunteer head and assistant coaches must attend a mandatory coaches meeting on January 8th at 12:30p.m. at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center. The Co-Ed Youth Basketball League will offer weekly games played in Warrenville and Winfield. Practices will begin the week of December 13th. Players are required to attend the mandatory Skills Assessment on December 11th at 12:00pm. at the Recreation Center in order to participate. All volunteer head and assistant coaches must attend a mandatory coaches meeting at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center on December 11th at 10:30am. Spartan Boys Travel Basketball Tryouts Grades 5-8
Come tryout for Spartan Boys Travel Basketball! Spartan Boys Travel Basketball program prides itself on developing well rounded players not only in skill, but strategy and competitive spirit. Teams will compete in the DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League and participate in tournaments. Weekly practices will be well organized with a heavy focus on skill training and overall team organization. Pre-registration is required prior to attending the tryout.
