Garden Kids Ages 6-12

Get those hands dirty, and learn how delicious home-grown veggies can be! Participants take part in every aspect of gardening at our learning garden, and get their very own garden trowel to take home along with knowledge on how to start their own garden at home. new Challenge Course Blitz Ages 6+

How quick are you? Test your athleticism during our 1st Challenge Course Blitz. The time trial event in which you will complete against others in your age group, and the course for a chance to win awesome prizes. The event also includes the 40 yard dash contest. The course at Summerlakes Park is open year round for practice. The Warrenville Park District needs your help! Come join us as we continue our restoration of the Ferry Creek Wetland at Summerlakes Park. Participants will learn how to identify, and remove invasive species, plant and collect seed. Help us turn this wetland into a premier outdoor classroom! Tools will be provided, but please dress for weather. Please register ahead. Kayaking the Fox Ages 13+

Join the Warrenville Park District for a relaxing paddle through a section of the Fox River that is home to numerous wildlife species. Participants will meet at the ending location and will be shuttled to the launch site. Sandals with straps or water shoes are preferred. Kayaking the DuPage Ages 13+

The DuPage County Forest preserve and the Warrenville Park District have teamed up to provide a unique kayaking experience. Learn the finer points of paddling while taking in an in-depth history lesson about the west branch of the DuPage River. All equipment and shuttle will be provided with the exception of water shoes/ sandals with straps. Participants will meet at the Recreation Center parking lot.
