In 2013, President Melanie Bakala selected Hood Canal Communications to receive the honor. She said: “Hood Canal Communication’s dedicated staff & management team contribute countless hours to non-profits, while the company itself provides financial and physical support to local organizations year round. This year, they even “saved Christmas” by donating their equipment and manpower to assist the Chamber and the local Kiwanis clubs by hanging the holiday decorations just three days before the parade.
