ith a solid industrial base, Mendota affords opportunities to growing companies, both new and existing. Numerous highly diversified manufacturing plants, most with international distribution, currently provide a good share of jobs for the men and women of Mendota. Through the use of incentives, new industry is continually drawn to the Mendota area. There are area Tax Increment Financing Districts to assist in financing new development and improve infrastructure. The city administration and an Economic Development Department are focused on planned growth and productive expansion. Mendota’s Business Park has a flexible development plan to attract firms needing small to large acreage sites. The city-owned park offers competitive land costs and excellent location advantages. It is located on the east side of Mendota adjacent to Interstate 39. Sites include service by rail line Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, close proximity to I-80 and I-88, and municipal water and sewer to the property line.
