■ Il Poggiolo in Hinsdale has made several menu additions for the winter. The lunch and dinner menus will offer multiple new salads, pastas, and entrees, including Pappardelle and Carramella pastas, as well as Agnello and Zuppa di Pesce entrees.

■ Drury Lane Oak Brook is undergoing an extensive renovation, with Phase 1 to be completed by March 2013 and Phase 2 to be completed by mid-2014. Phase 1 includes the renovation of the 27,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, the Main Lobby and Cocktail Lounge. The new spaces feature a sophisticated European design aesthetic with top-of-the-line furnishings, original artwork and elegant décor. Phase 2 will include the renovation of the Courtyard Restaurant, French Room, English Room and the Theatre Bar.
■ The Chicago Automobile Trade Association, based in Oak Brook, donated $2,000 to $3,500 to three nonprofit organizations and $200 to several others as part of the Chicagoland Dealers Care Facebook contest. Chicago area dealerships nominated the organizations, and the public voted which charities would receive extra financial support.
■ Hinsdale Hematology-Oncology Associates has joined forces with Illinois Cancer Specialists. The integration, which includes an affiliation with the U.S. Oncology Network, provides opportunities

Crane said. Adventist Midwest Health is well-positioned to deal with coming healthcare changes, Crane said. But Mayzell will bring needed knowledge in risk contracting and physician partnering. “Most of us involved in healthcare realize it’s an imperfect system,” Mayzell said. “It’s too expensive, too inefficient. I realize no one is inherently trying to do the wrong thing.” Mayzell said his first order of business is to get to know Adventist Midwest Health’s medical provider community. “One of the first things I want to do is sit down and talk with the physicians, to get

He spent more than 10 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, working as regional medical director for care and quality and corporate managing medical director for pharmacy and care. He also has more than a decade of practice experience. “It’s really difficult to change,” Mayzell said. “I don’t have any illusions that it’ll be a quick solution. I’ve been on all sides of this issue. It’s critical.”
