MARRIAGE LICENSES

The northbound ramp of Interstate 39 at US 20 will be closed soon to allow for the construction of the ramp, outside lane of US 20. The work, slated to begin this week, weather permitting, includes the shoulder and the ramp connectors. The Illinois Department of Transportation said the closure is scheduled to last until Sept. 22. “Message boards and detour signs will be placed in advance to notify the traveling public of the closures. I-39 northbound traffic should follow detour signs utilizing US 20 eastbound to the Harrison Avenue Interchange,” IDOT officials said in a press release. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
