Party in McKinley Park scheduled Saturday By SARAH BROWN
CNA staff reporter sbrown@crestonnews.com
Prepare yourself for the “ultimate” Party in the Park Saturday. This year’s Party in the Park will pay homage to some of the most popular bands of the 1970s — The Eagles, Heart and Journey. Performing the rock music written by the Eagles, such as “Take it Easy,” “Hotel California” and “I Can’t Tell You Why,” is 7 Bridges: the Ultimate Eagles Experience.
7 Bridges, a six-piece Eagles tribute band, is a national touring act based out of Nashville, Tenn. The band describes themselves as “a tour de force of talent combining incredible musicianship, vocal precision and a stage presence that has garnered them nationwide acclaim.” The band features Jason Manning as Glenn Frey, Keith Thoma as Don Henley, Bryan Graves as Randy Meisner/Timothy B. Schmit, Tony Haan Jr. as Joe Walsh, Blake Hall as Don Felder, and Vernon Roop as Joe Vitale.
Opening Taking on the sound and stylings of Canadian based rock band Heart is Change of Heart: a Heart Tribute Band, based in Kansas City, Mo. The real life sisters in Change of Heart will take the audience on a musical tour of Hearts original hits of the 1970s and 1980s, such as “Barracuda,” “Magic Man” and “These Dreams.” Also performing is Revelation: a tribute to Journey, of Kansas City, Mo.
According to their website, Revelation “started from the love and respect for the musicians that make up one of the best bands out of California, Journey.” Revelation will perform Journey’s top hits that have endured the decades, such as “Don’t Stop Believin’, “Only the Young,” and “Faithfully.”

DNR lifts boil order in Murray MURRAY — A boil advisory for the city of Murray in Clarke County has been lifted. The advisory was issued for portions of the city north of Fifth Street following a water main break Wednesday. The break caused a loss of water pressure which can potentially allow bacteria to enter the system. The line has since been repaired and two separate water samples indicate the water is safe to drink.

News Advertiser reveals new masthead Today, readers will notice a new masthead atop the Creston News Advertiser front page. This new masthead is the collaborative effort of three on-staff designers each with the aim of freshening the appearance of our front page. This design process — which received feedback from CNA department heads and various staff — took about 30 days. The new masthead is the second modernization of content since March when Throwback Thursday was implemented. That popular feature — compiled by CNA Newsroom Assistant Courtney Dake — runs each Thursday on page 2A and includes vintage news items and photos from the area from 5, 10, 20 and 50 years ago in history. Today, readers will also notice an updated design at the bottom of today’s front page. That area now has an easy-read weather report with modernized weather icons. Like the new changes? Don’t like them? Either way, send your comments to editor@crestonnews.com
