Scadden sentenced to 2 years probation

Creston High School graduate Abbie (Seeger) Micucci was recently a contestant on Jeopardy! How did she do? Find out below. ■

Evin Lawrence Scadden, 22, was convicted of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse Jan. 8 following an incident with a female near Creston in 2013. Scadden was sentenced to two years in a Department of Corrections facility. However, that sentence was suspended by the court earlier this month and Scadden will serve two years of probation. Court documents show Scadden Scadden’s sentencing was reduced to probation because his age, employment record, lack of criminal conviction and professional evaluations show he has a low risk of sexually reoffending.

He said Micucci is the first Rose student of his to appear on the show. “I wasn’t surprised it was Abbie,” he said. “She was an excellent student.” Prior to the show’s air date, Rose told Micucci through Facebook to not forget to answer in the form of a question, reminding her
