Key Contact Biographies (Continued) Steven R. Hawkins, AIA, is Director of Marketing and Membership for the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). Mr. Hawkins comes to ICPI with more than 20 years in the reinforced concrete industry, including Director of Market Development for Applied Systems Associates and Vice President of Marketing for the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI). During his time with CRSI, Mr. Hawkins developed, implemented, and managed strategic marketing plans, stakeholder communications, and continuing education programs in cooperation with institute members, the CRSI Foundation, allied associations, university partners, and professional societies representing architects, engineers, and contractors. Before his industry association experience, Mr. Hawkins operated a marketing consultancy for 12 years focused on research, strategic planning, and communications geared to the specialized needs of real estate development and professional service firms. Mr. Hawkins holds Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Communication Studies from the University of Kansas.
