In 2010 Shannon Airport was the first airport in the world outside of the US to offer full US Customs & Immigration preclearance for General Aviation. It is still the only airport in either Europe or the Middle East with this unique service. This allows aircraft which are precleared at Shannon to fly directly to over 200 U.S airports.
