Democratic and Republican campaign staffers are handing off to their respective parties’ lawyers as vote counting continues in a tight presidential race.

Early on election night, it became clear that the 2020 election would not be the “blue wave” many Democrats were expecting. As even the most dedicated Democratic partisans finally headed for bed, Biden trailed in many of the key states he needed in order to secure the presidency.

by Mike Andrew SGN Staff Writer LGBTQ voters turned out in record numbers for this year’s election, according to a survey released by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

The National Election Pool exit poll conducted by Edison Research shows that self-identified LGBTQ voters accounted for 7% of the total electorate, while making up 4.5% of the general population.

The similarity with 2016’s presidential election was all too evident. Biden was leading in the popular vote by almost two million votes. Nevertheless, he was trailing in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin – the states that did in Hillary Clinton.
