There is never a topic that is too taboo or controversial for Margaret Cho to talk about in her standup. This attitude and courage has won Cho fans across the globe. Cho, who is one of the most acclaimed and popular comedians of our time, will be bringing her new “Cho Dependent” show to the Pantages Theater in Tacoma on Friday, October 28. Cho is an avid supporter of the LGBT community and will be giving fans a chance to meet her in person before the show. Fully 100% of the $100 meeta n d -

Top Ten on Billboard’s album chart, earned multiple Grammy nominations, and expanded their live performances from small clubs to sports arenas. This glass slipper belongs to Death Cab for Cutie. The group - Ben Gibbard (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Walla (guitar), Nick Harmer (bass), and Jason McGerr (drums) started out as an indie rock unit and gradually bulked up its fan base, while maturing their sound with each alsee DCFC page 34

Boy Cheerleaders (2.5 stars out of 4) Entertaining if not entirely groundbreaking documentary about the DAZL Diamonds, an all-boy (ages 8 to 13) cheerleading group competing in the U.K. National Cheerleading Finals and the effect they have on their working-class hometown of Leeds. Not as inspiring as you might think, the movie still showcases enough flashy moves and has more than enough energy to make it at least somewhat worthwhile. (Oct. 22, Pacific Place, 4:30 p.m.)
