Her 1997 cut, “Shut Up and Drive,” propelled her to the top of the country charts, followed in 1999 by “Single White Female.” She’s had a solid career and sold over a million albums, but she had a secret that almost took her life: she was a Lesbian.

their lives, as well as those of their respective families, while Mehran falls into a trap of religious and political intolerance in his quest to make Shireen his wife.
The word “original” can be used literally in regards to Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, more commonly recognized by their abbreviated name, OMD. The Liverpool band, which formed in 1978, is back in action with all four of its original members – Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes, and Martin Cooper. Shireen (Sarah Kazemy) has been recently orphaned and is living with an uncle who sees her as an inconvenience, hoping to marry the young woman off as soon as he can. The movie features twists, turns, heartbreak, and emotional elation as it navigates its way through its intensely personal comingof-age travails.
