In a city overflowing with talent – and talent competitions sprouting up like weeds – 2012 Pride Idol is making its mark! Overall the 2012 season has been amazing, but the last two weeks in particular have catapulted Pride Idol into a league of its own. Simply put, the Wildcard Round and Grand Finale are poised to be the best yet!

Bumbershoot steps up its game for 2012

With the release of The Avengers last Friday and its record-breaking $200-million haul, it’s clear that the Summer Movie Season has begun with a very large bang. If bigger, louder, shinier, and more expensive is your cup of tea, Hollywood has boiled up a steamy hot brew specifically for you. Without further ado, here are the films and events expected to grace Seattle-area theatres during May and June. As always, release dates are subject to change, so don’t be surprised if some of what’s mentioned here doesn’t appear exactly as scheduled.

Addiction, Tony Bennett, Skrillex, Keane, M83, Passion Pit, M. Ward, and a double scoop of hip-hop with Mac Miller and Big Sean. Also on board are Fujiya & Miyagi, Awolnation, the Jayhawks, Wanda Jackson and the Dusty 45’s, the Heavy, Blitzen Trapper, and the Helio Sequence.
