According to Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman ever created. She opened the forbidden box and unleashed all the evils unto the world, leaving only man’s hope inside. Today, audiences love it when comedian and drag queen extraordinaire Pandora Boxx unleashes on them. And guess what, Seattle? She’s coming back to town April 22-23 at R Place! Pandora Boxx has been entertaining the masses internationally for more than a decade. Pandora most recently appeared as a contestant on the second season of the smash hit RuPaul’s Drag Race on the LGBT network
Logo. The show garnered the highest ratings ever for the cable network. Despite not winning, Pandora proved to be the breakout star. “I started when Abe Lincoln was in office,” Pandora Boxx told Seattle Gay News. “Mary Todd was a great drag inspiration! Well, Seattle Pride Idol fans, if the footstomping, soul-singing contestants at last week’s competition were any indication, consider me blessed! The competition was strong, the voices were heavenly, and the show was divine! Pride Idol is a citywide singing contest produced and presented by SO&P, Verizon Wireless, FUZE, Seattle’s Best Karaoke, and Seattle Gay News every Sunday night at Neighbours Nightclub (1509 Broadway) and is hosted by Gaysha Starr. Doors open at 6 p.m., where contestants can sign up to sing in the 7 p.m. competition. The grand finale is scheduled for June 19,
