It had scored top honors from seemingly every single critics’ group, was on more top10 lists than any other film, and had just won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Drama. There was no way it was going to lose, and by all accounts this was going to be the most boring Oscar telecast in recent memory. Then came February. Bobby McFerrin March 8 Paramount Theatre A rare opportunity is coming up to hear legendary vocal performer Bobby McFerrin when he appears March 8 at The Paramount Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Those who have followed this eclectic performer’s career (McFerrin has won 10 Grammy awards) know that he is much more than the guy who brought us “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” in 1988, as he is an improviser, conductor, and bringer of spontaneous music to the masses. He hasn’t performed in Seattle since 2005, though he conducted the Seattle Symphony in 2007. see McFerrin page 32
